Rosco DigiComp HD Digital Compositing Paint is used to cover an area of a room or studio space, which will be used as a background for video or photographic purposes. Once applied, the paint provides proper luminance and RGB values, and the color has good separation between the background and foreground. Therefore, post-production or editing becomes seamless to use with photo or video editing programs.
The water-based vinyl acrylic paint is ready to use out of the can and is easily applied with a paint roller or spray gun. The paint has a quick drying time of approximately an hour; and when it dries, it provides an ultra-flat, no-sheen finish. Other paints that give off a shine show up as a white or yellow color, which does not translate well and is harder to get rid of in post-production. A primer is recommended before painting an area because the paint bonds to the surface better.
